Approach
Based on the needs I have observed with those I enjoy working with.
Practical and Sustainable System
Practical Interface
simple practical customized automated
Managing a website can be challenging. I develop, in collaboration with Fuut(ouvre un nouvel onglet), Content Management Systems (or CMS) based on WordPress that are easy to use, customized and automated as much as possible.
The goal is to offer you real autonomy, by equipping you with a practical tool that allows you to invest your time, energy and financial resources for good use.
Who Is Fuut?
Since 2008, Wies Hermans, owner of Fuut, works as a designer/developer, mainly for museums, dance and theatre companies. He now develops websites as well as designing them—staying up to date with all new technological advances and always on the lookout for new and interesting ways to interact online. Since 2018, we have been joining forces on many projects.
Sustainable Method
sustainable upgradable robust
Our websites are hand coded according to the industry standards in PHP, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, and plugins designed by third parties are selected with care if not avoided at all.
We do our best to offer affordable and long-lasting websites. By avoiding the functioning of the website depending on external services, we can facilitate its evolution at the pace of new technologies.
Maintenance After Launch
After going live, the website is carefully maintained to remain robust and aligned with new technologies. I offer full technical support on an annual contract basis.
You also have access to a Member Inclusive area, where you can find guides and resources focused on web accessibility to help you manage your website in the best way.
Inclusive and Accessible Communication
Inclusive Content
inclusive multilingual practical accessible
I collaborate with illustrators to create inspiring images that celebrate diversity, representation, validation and freedom. Although I am not an illustrator by profession, I also draw sometimes.
I give you the right tools to manage your content and use inclusive writing that is also web-accessible. English is relatively inclusive in nature, but it is interesting to know that the midpoint · [in French] and the asterisk * [in German] are insufficient solutions for the web!
Multilingual Made Simpler
If you ever managed a multilingual website, you know how it can be challenging. To remedy this problem, we developed a module that allows certain pages to be translated without constraints. The website can be designed in one language or bilingual and some specific contents can be translated into additional languages, without losing overall consistency.
Accessible Web

Web accessibility (or A11Y) allows people with impairments—visual, auditive or cognitive—permanent or temporary—to navigate the web easily. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (
Beyond the technical challenge, it's a mindset to adopt—and a team effort; not only does code and design have to meet certain standards, but so does the content, so you have your part to play!
The Member Inclusive area gathers guides and resources focused on web accessibility to help you manage your website in the best way.
Additionally, I set up a compact and fun workshop that covers the basics and help you get rid of clumsy initiatives when editing the content on your website. This workshop was already presented to Bøwie Gender Projects Incubator(open a new tab) successfully.
Fair Collaboration
Horizontal Management
horizontal empowering flexible fair
Every project is planned over a specific period of time, in a rigorous and flexible way to ensure both the achievements of objectives and pleasant working conditions for all.
I want to offer a service that reflects my values. I want us to be a team! I wish to lead my collaborations according to feminist values, borrowed from empowerment where the ideas and skills of the whole team are listened to and taken into account.
If my working approach speaks to you, I would be glad to hear from you whether you need my services or not. Don’t hesitate either to share with the structures involved in social and cultural projects around you! THANK YOU!
